In March I celebrated my first birthday in Texas! It was also a milestone birthday for me, turning a quarter-of-a-century-old (which my family tells me is a very grim way of looking at things. Must be the writer in me! 😉 ).
It was hard at first being away from so many friends and family, but I decided I had a choice: stay home and feel sorry for myself, or get out already and celebrate!
I am so glad I chose the second one, because it definitely ended up being a special day to remember.
Here’s some of The Captured Moments:
Starting out the day with my mom and sis who were so sweet to take me out for a traditional free drink at Starbucks!
Then it was time to do some dancin’! 🙂 (See slogan of blog. 😉 )Off we went to find and pick some of our first ever bluebonnets.
Lap full of flowers and a full heart. ❤
And then it was time for a nice night out!
It was so much fun to get all dressed up and go somewhere swanky–something we wouldn’t really have had the opportunity to do in Colorado! This particular restaurant used to be a post office, so I loved the atmosphere and history of the place, too.
On the outdoor patio with live Cajun music and pretty lights! 🙂
Sweet and beautiful Mama of mine! ❤
Praline Cheesecake for dessert. Sooo good.
So blessed to have these two in my life and to have celebrated with them! ❤
All-in-all, a great way to spend turning a quarter-of-a-century-old! 😉
